Día de los Muertos - cuarto, quinto, sexto y octavo grados
While learning about Día de los Muertos students in fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth grades made máscaras de calacas (skull masks) and they ate pan de muertos (bread of the dead). Students learned about the traditions of making and wearing máscaras de calacas and then they made their own. Students also learned pan de muertos is eaten on this special day as well as placed on an ofrenda.
